I usually associate the "smell of smoke in the neighborhood" with autumn, when people start using their fireplaces. Except when I lived in Harlem… then it was usually arson.

But, at this time of year, I guess you’re talking about the smoke from illegal fireworks which scare the dog who goes nuts and pees on your feet. Thanks for the visual. Happy 4th.

Yeah, this is the time of the year when we get to smell all the smoke coming off the forest fires. Goes on usually through August. Great sunrises and sunsets though..
